Halloween (Orange, Black and White) Wedding

A Halloween wedding themed around simply the colours of the holiday is more of a classy theme, it would be a wedding you wouldn't expect children at. This Orange, Black and White wedding is more of a black tie affair, more traditional, than the other Halloween weddings.

The Flowers:
It is, near if not, impossible to find real black flowers and for a classy type wedding black shouldn't be one of the main things in most decorations including flowers. A bouquet of white and orange flowers would be best, whatever the bride likes and goes well together.

The Bride:
This is where options come in, with the dress there is never a reason to match the theme. The dress is about what the bride likes and what makes her look perfect for her big day. Some great options dress wise would be an Alfred Angelo dress. If the bride wants to add a bit of colour to her look, they have a wide range of colours and they match almost anything.

The Shoes:
A Halloween wedding, even if its only slightly themed towards the holiday is always in October and depending where the bride and groom get married that can be a cold time of year. The best shoes for this wedding would be a shoe not a sandal because of how could it can get in certain places. A nice pick would be the Isabella shoes from Wedding Mountain

The Invitations:
This invitation is classy and not too over the top. The spooky tree represent the Halloween theme while the dominate colour is orange to still make it classy and not as gloomy.

The Rings:
These rings are unique and would fit fine with the theme, any rings would be perfectly fine they don't have to match the theme of any wedding. These rings are classy and black which is perfect for this style of wedding.

The Reception:
Its not always easy to find guest books with any colour to them and when you do they aren't always as elegant as they could or should be. This is especially had with orange as one of the colours for the theme. But the guest book doesn't have to match the theme at all and in this case a plain white guest book would be just fine, like the Moire Guest Book below. The same can be said about any time of Card Box so a plain one with no theme would work best also.

Table numbers or a seating chat is needed for a sit down meal, it saves on confusion and eliminates any tension that may be caused. These table numbers would be perfect for the theme because they are classy and yet still have a touch of the Halloween theme.

The Food:
With a October wedding, the season and the weather are a good reason to go with hardy comfort food meals. In Canada it's just after Thanksgiving and in American it's just before so maybe not a turkey meal but something filling. A Pork Tenderloin would be great with potatoes and vegetables is perfect and filling.
For dessert, a Candy Corn Cheese Cake Mousse would be a wonderful idea and play to the Halloween theme.

The Cake:
Even a Halloween cake can be turn into something beautiful and classy, the pumpkin on top doesn't have to be there and the bride and groom topper is changeable. A black and orange cake with swirls and strips would be perfectly fine with this wedding and would be a touch of Halloween added in, of course the black can be substituted for white to make it less gloomy and more wedding style.

A great light cake would be a White Orange Jello Cake. It is simple to make and can usually please the majority of guests.
Ingredients:

1 Pkg Yellow Cake Mix

2 Pks Orange Jello

1 Pk Vanilla Instant Pudding

1 Cup 2% Milk
2 large eggs
2 Tsp Vanilla
1 Tub Cool Whip

Directions:
Bake the cake as directed in a 9x13" pan. Let cake cool completely. Poke holes in cooled cake. Mix 1 package orange gelatin dessert with 1 c. boiling water and 1 c. cold water. Pour over cake. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours. Mix pudding mix with cold milk the other package of orange gelatin dessert and vanilla. Beat by hand with a whisk until thickened. Fold in the whipped topping. Frost the cake with the pudding mixture.

Guest Favours:
A great guest favour is a bottle of poison! The example below is a jar with a customized label and sealed with wax. Inside is limoncello but for this theme any orange drink would be fine.

Centerpieces:
To add to the Halloween theme and as a way to keep it classy and still formal, this Centerpieces is a cute play on trick or treating. The treats inside are called Meringue Swirls, and each table can have a container full and the guests can help themselves throughout the night until there are none left.

Thank You Cards:
Some couples choose to send a picture from their wedding with a personalized note or a post card showing where they honeymooned. So anything really would work fine, the card below matches the theme and it is a nice design.
