| St.Patrick's Day Wedding in Chicago |
Not all flowers come in green and so the choices for a bouquet may be limited. A nice choice is always calla lilies, they come in most colours and are simply beautiful flowers. Another great option for the bride or the her bride's maid is calla lilies that gently fade from white to green tips.
The Bride and Groom:
Bridal gowns come in all different styles and different colours sometimes. A white dress with lime green accents isn't the easiest thing to find but they are out there. A wedding dress doesn't have to match the theme of a wedding and in most cases it doesn't. The bride's wedding dress is suppose to be her little slice of perfection. Either way a great dress is the Spaghetti Strap Taffeta Wedding Dress. For the groom any suit would do, but a great option is the Alfred Sung One Button Notch-Lapel Jacket (1831) with a Microfiber White Point Collar Shirt (5770), and a Prime Time Black Vest (6350PRBLK).
The Invitations:
The main theme of this wedding is Green and White but when you can throw in some Irish shamrocks and still keep the theme why not. It won't be out of place and if anything says St.Patrick's day it's four leaf clovers.

The Rings:
Naturally for rings, anything is fine. Rings rarely follow the theme of a wedding or the colour scheme. Usually the wedding ring is whatever matches the engagement ring or whatever catches the couples eye. There is nothing wrong with not matching the theme and most people don't even see the wedding ring anyways. However if the couple wants to match the colour of the wedding to their ring a nice option is the Peridot CZ Round Channel Set Band ring and for the groom a Dura Tungsten Flat 8mm Polished Band would be perfect.
The Reception:
Lime green is not always an easy colour to find when it comes to wedding items. This would be another time when using ribbon would be a great time. Adding ribbon that matches the colour scheme. This works for the guest book and the card box as well. On the other hand if the couple doesn't mind and likes the look of either without the colour matching than that is fine also.

The Food:
With St.Patrick's Day being in March, it can be a cold time. The best way to fight the cold is to stick to hearty foods, and it is very possibly to do that and stick to St.Patrick's Day themed foods. A good way to start the meal off is with a Fully Loaded Potato Soup. A nice way to follow up the soup would be with a main course of Roasted Lamb Loin with a Guinness Gravy and mashed potatoes. A nice dessert after this meal would be a Guinness and Chocolate Truffle platter and/or a Salted Caramel Truffle platter if there are kids at the wedding and just to offer variety.
The Cake:
With the theme being green and St. Patrick's day the shamrocks fit right in. A great idea for a cupcake tower would be to have a Vanilla Cupcake with green frosting and a Green Velvet Cupcake with white frosting. As the picture shows below with a few strategically placed marbles the cupcakes can be formed into clovers. This can be a great way to match the theme or just another way to tell the different kinds apart.
A vanilla cupcake can be made by almost anyone by simply combining 1 1/2 cup of flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon baking soda to 1 cup butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 2 eggs, and a cup of milk. The cupcakes bake at 375 for 20 minutes.
Guest Favours:
The perfect idea for Irish guest favours would have to be the Irish Blessing Plantable Poem Cards.
They are eco-friendly and once planted they will grow into beautiful wild flowers.
Centerpieces:
Centerpieces are always things that can be homemade or bought as is. It's hard to find an as is centerpiece that matches the exact picture the couple has in mind for a centerpiece so that's why some couples choose to make their own. Making home made centerpieces doesn't have to be complicated, taking any kind of hurricane and adding died peas, beans or anything with a bright enough colour to be noticable that matches the colour scheme would be just fine. Add a few candles and they are beautiful centerpieces.

Thank You Cards:
Thank You Cards don't always have to match the theme of the wedding, some couples choose to send a card with a picture of themselves, or from their wedding day. It all depends on the couple, some chose to send a picture in the card. Either way a couple can never go wrong with a beautiful card, so if it matches the theme or colour scheme doesn't really matter in the end. Sometime the invitations have matching thank you cards and they are fine too.
